Don't be deceived by the light cherry colouring, this wine packs a punch with depth of flavour and concentration.
Dark raspberry and black cherry muddled with cracked pepper and exotic spices of clove and toasted herbs. There is an earthy-savoury black olive, tree bark and rose petals.
Mouth-filling, wild black and red berries dominate the palate with hints of dried roses and pepper. The 88-year-old Grenache vines offer concentration and structure. This is a solid wine, with elegant tannins and mouth-watering acidity.
The high alcohol means you should avoid delicate dishes and instead, opt for some heft in your meal. Grenache is friendly with tomato sauces, paprika and vegetarian dishes with eggplant. Try a rabbit stew, veggie chili, or goulash.
