"The name Church & State symbolizes a balance between the many elements involved in creating the highest quality wine we can produce. Whether it is our Lost Inhibitions series of fun, evocative wines, or our Signature Series of world-class wines that push the boundaries of what is capable in the Okanagan Valley; no sacrifice is made in our pursuit of absolute quality. Church & State has been recognized as producing Canada’s best red wine six times since 2009, acknowledged by international panels and foreign dignitaries including Jancis Robinson, Master of Wine, Wine Advisor to the Queen."
We love the new packaging on Church & State wines! They are splashy, fresh and modern, just like the juice in the bottles. This Syrah punches well above its weight class, and is well worth the spend. With plenty of zip, it shows a restrained elegance found in northern California Syrahs. Enjoy by 2021 at 18 C.
Dark and inky in colour.
The wine displays aromas of black cherry, blueberry, creamy vanilla and the signature crushed white and black peppercorns leap from the glass.
Medium bodied but bold! On the palate there is a symphony of concentrated black-fruited intensity interwoven with notes of cracked white pepper. Texturally, it is full and rich, with amazing depth of flavour and vibrant acidity.
We have an affinity for Syrah and sirloin. Find your favourite cut and add just the basics, salt and pepper!
