New Vintage! This wine is back by popular demand!
Another gem from one of our favourite Canadian producers, Bartier Bros. Cabernet Franc. This wine has not been featured in packages, but should not be missed!
The Cabernet Franc grows on dense loam topsoil above gravel with limestone (calcium carbonate) covered granite, quartz, and basalt cobbles throughout a deep profile. Irrigation and groundwater accept minerals from these rocks, and in turn, deliver them to the vines, causing a profound effect on the grapes. The Cabernet Franc block was planted spring of 2008. Enjoy over the next 3 years and serve at room temperature, 18 C.
Clean and clear ruby, from core to rim.
Black fruits, with a touch of oak spice give a rich and savoury base. Dried herbs and of bay leaf and an extra level of dimension.
Firm structure, with weighty tannins that are integrated and balanced. The depth of flavours is still showcased as a young and fresh profile. With its concentrated fruit, the wine seems almost perceptably sweet. Smoky aromas with chocolate, cedar, and blackberry last through a long minerally finish.
A perfect wine for hearty vegetarian fare, from roasted eggplants and black been burgers.
