New Vintage! This wine was previously featured in the store, but is back by popular demand!
We have added a number of Canadian wines, from coast to coast, to our online, members-only shop. We love exploring the vast selection of global wines, but we also really love celebrating the uniqueness of the wines in our backyards. The Tawse Growers Blend series was created to highlight the Niagara Peninsula where Pinot Noir can fully express its true potential.
Beginning in 2008, the Growers Series also showcases vintage variation. Each year, the blend is different and displays the individual personality of each vineyard site and vintage. Viticultural practices included vertical shoot positioning, shoot thinning, cluster thinning, hand-leaf removal and hand-harvest. Enjoy by 2020 at 16 C.
Medium, light wild cranberry coloured.
Micheal Godel of Wine Align describes, "Dried fruit is readily nosed and replayed in flavours with wild strawberry and rusty red currants"
With 16 months in French oak, we find faint notes of vanilla and leather. Expect darker berries on the palate with blackberry, and brambly blueberry.
The winery suggests, "Pinot is renowned for being an extremely food-friendly wine and the 2012 Growers Blend lives up to that reputation. Approachable and fruit-forward, it would be a great companion for BBQ burgers, roasted pork tenderloin, cedar plank salmon or charcuterie. A perfect weekday go to wine!"
