A Cali Cab that won't break the bank, but delivers all the classic flavour combos we are looking for! A Cabernet Sauvignon will offer different qualities and characters depending on where it is grown, the ripeness of the grape, and the winemaking style. However, if you are looking for 'classic' California, your Cabernet should offer a base of blackberry, black cherry, currants, and an array of supporting flavours from cedar, to pepper and graphite.

Regardless of the style, from fruity and fresh, to spicy and savoury, your Cab should have strong depth of flavour, acidity, and tannins to create a well structured and balanced wine. Often, we look to Napa as the "King of Cab", and rightly so, because the region is prime for giving Cabernet the perfect home. Here, the grapes are exposed to great sun and a long growing season that allows the grapes to ripen consistently and fully. The morning fog from San Pablo Bay and the high elevations' cloud cover help to protect the grapes from extreme heat, and provides ideal growing conditions.

Surrounding regions within California and all over the world look to great Cabernet producers in Napa and Bordeaux. We think this wine is sure to give you that California feeling! Bright ruby red, with a vibrant colouring that lingers on the glass, with a paler rim of strawberry.


Classically Cab on the nose with black currant and black raspberry. Briar patch and raspberry bush give an earthy and woodsy undertone to the dark fruits, with sweet oak and spices.


The dark, brambly berries of currant and raspberry are partnered up with plum and stewed berries. Accenting notes of tobacco leaf, pepper, and old leather provide a rustic nature and more complexity to the fruit profile. The oak, tobacco, and spice are sweet, toasty, and fresh. The body is medium and also carries balanced acidity and tannins, complementing the richness of flavours. We find a stronger presence of the oak on the backside of the wine and through the finish.


Classic burger topped with tangy gorgonzola (or if you aren't a fan, try a sharp, aged cheddar). Partner with thick cut fries seasoned liberally with rosemary.
