Consentido is the project of Bodegas La Purisima in Yecla, Spain. Established in 1946 by a group of local grape-growers, their desire to showcase the high quality of wines that are possible in the region culminated in Yecla's recognition as an official D.O. (Denominacion de Origin) in 1975. But grape-growing is an ancient tradition in Yecla, dating back well over 2000 years! Located in the southeast of Spain, Yecla enjoys a dry, continental climate with a variety of ancient soil types - perfect for grape-growing. We loved these wines so much we selected 3 for our members: Macabeo (an important local white grape), Merlot, and Syrah. All three are aged in stainless steel, and express pure fruit characteristics and fantastic depth of flavour. In all of their wines, Bodegas La Purisima utilizes sustainable viticultural practices to ensure the health of the vineyard and surrounding ecosystem. This 2019 Macabeo is ready for you to enjoy now between 8-10 C.
Pale yellow with a watery rim and hints of gold.
This is a subtle wine, but don't let that fool you into thinking there isn't much flavour. The nose is muted with light exotic fruits and hints of floral. The scent is refreshing and inviting, especially when you're looking for a lighter wine to enjoy.
The lightness from the nose is amplified on your palate and we're here for it! Bright melon, pear, and stone fruits like apricot are balanced by the citrus of lime and lemon. The acidity of the citrus fruits isn't overbearing and nicely evens out the sweeter notes. This is a lighter bodied white with bright acidity that keeps you enjoying the glass from start to finish. The perfect patio wine to enjoy when you're looking for something light, refreshing, and easy to relax with.
