Dominio de Punctum is a family-owned winery located in La Mancha, one of Spain's main wine regions. The Fernandez family separates themselves from other wineries for the exclusive production and pride themselves for their world-class organic and biodynamic wines. The vineyard currently stretches across 200 hectares and produces whites, red, both young and aged by the use of traditional Spanish methods, alongside modern sustainable agriculture and winemaking. Dominio de Punctum is committed to biodynamic farming and cellar practices and delivers aromatic and elegant wines while taking care of the environment. Inspired by organic farming, as it is the traditional method, Dominio de Punctum decided to forgo the use of modern-day chemicals in both the vineyard and winery. Taking that extra step forward, they moved into biodynamic agriculture, which is a holistic view on agriculture. This unique blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Graciano is a fantastic everyday red that can be enjoyed now or aged for a few extra years.

How it smells

This blend has a beautiful bouquet of juicy black and red fruits, including black cherries, raspberries and blackberries. You'll find aromas of black currant, tart Saskatoon berries, and hints for steak spice and dried herbs. The time spent in barrel adds notes of oak, vanilla and cedar.

How it tastes

This youthful red opens with flavours of bright red cherry that linger on the palate. Juicier black cherry, black currant, fig and baking spice are found a few sips in. Dried rosemary, oak and peppercorn spice hit the taste buds towards the finish. With a lighter mouthfeel, medium tannins, and a medium acidity, this red will leave you with a tingle of a cherry cough drop that's delicious till the last sip. Decant this wine to enhance and enjoy the lush, bright flavours!

Recommended food pairing

With a lighter palate, this red would work perfectly with poultry or pork. Want to keep it casual? Pair it with your standard burger or a delicious beef dip sandwich.
