Profile

A true négociant, Sean Minor does not own a winery or a vineyard, yet his name stands for character and value. Born in Kansas, Sean Minor was surrounded by agriculture, hard work, and the values responsible for the unwavering work ethic of Midwestern families. His career in wine began after formal education in the field of finance from Arizona State University where he also met his wife, Nicole. After moving to California, where Sean began his fine wine career, working for Napa Valley’s Beaulieu Vineyard, he knew that the wine industry was where he needed to be! He furthered his education at U.C. Davis in Viticultural and Oenology.

Will Bucklin continues to be their consulting winemaker; he collaborates with Sean on the winemaking process on all of their wines. Will is also a graduate of UC Davis’ prestigious Oenology program and started his career with an internship at the historic and world-renowned Chateau Lafite Rothschild. Following stints with Thomas Hardy in Australia and Navarro Vineyards in Mendocino, he worked with Sean at King Estate in Oregon. Their collaborative efforts create the consistent wines they continue to sell today.

This wine should be served at 18 C. Cellar from now to 2026.

Smell

This wine showcases a rich bouquet of black cherry, blackberry, and plum but then they meet up with hints of dried herbs, floral notes of violet, cedar, asphalt, and black olive.

Taste

This Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon is bold, fruit-forward, and loaded with dark berry flavours such as black cherry, blueberry, ripe raspberry, and plum. Also present is vanilla, baking spice, coffee, and black pepper, along with some leather. The soft tannin and sweet oak balance lead to a long and lingering tea leaf and cocoa dusted finish. This wine has lots of complex layers, just waiting to be experienced.

Pairing

Try with a juicy BBQ burger with aged gouda, and a smoky barbecue sauce. Or, serving a linguine with mushrooms and caramelized onions with this wine would be delicious.
