This crowd pleaser is more of an old world style - it is dry and has ripe and fruity flavours of lime, white peach, passionfruit, guava, and kiwi, with a touch of leafy green herbs, a flinty minerality, and a mouthwatering, juicy acidity. This Sauvignon Blanc is pure summer in a glass!

Description
Quando is a family business, with sixth generation brothers Fanis and Martin Bruwer taking over the running of their riverside property in 2004. The property is situated between Robertson and Bonnievale, in the picturesque Robertson Valley — one and a half hours east of Cape Town, South Africa. The winery is surrounded by the Langeberg and Riviersonderend mountains, with the Breede River running through. Only 12 hectares of their farm land is planted with Sauvignon Blanc, with the rest as a mixture of citrus and apricots with an alfalfa pasture for a local dairy herd. The manure from the cows is used to organically fertilize the vineyard! The brothers have a commitment to making only three wines for every vintage to give them the time to properly produce their quality wines.
The original Bruwer family comes from the Loire Valley of France. They arrived in South Africa in 1693, were winemakers in France and are, after multiple generations in South Africa, still vine growers and winemakers in Robertson.
