Tenuta di Angoris has 371 years of history that is deeply rooted in the past, while also looking towards the future. Focussing on paying tribute to the land while protecting and enhancing the sustainable production remains their priority, which allows for the responsible production of wines from the three main DOC areas of the region: Collio, Friuli Colli Orientali and Friuli Isonzo.
In 1960, Giulio Locatelli bought the winery property that had been in Locatello Locatelli’s family since 1648, meaning the adventure of the Locatelli family running the Angoris company had begun! Giulio and his wife Albertina created and now maintain the success of this historic property. This Pinot Nero is named for Albertina and is an elegant Pinot Nero ( the Italian name for Pinot Noir), and has been grown on the farm since the 1970s.
