Smell
This lovely white wine has delicate and persistent aromas, with notes of dried apple, pear, citrus, honeysuckle, yellow bell pepper, honey, and exotic fruits that come wafting out of the glass.
Taste
This elegant and velvety Pinot Grigio is crisp, light and dry, and has a good balance between fruit and zesty acidity. The fruit characteristics are displayed as Golden Delicious apple, pear, peach jam, citrus, and a suggestion of almonds and pastry.
Pairing
This crisp white would match well with mussels in a white wine broth, or with fettuccine, tossed with olive oil, lemon, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.

Description
The Pinot Grigio grape is of French origin, where it is known as Pinot Gris. It is also widely believed that this grape is a mutant clone of Pinot Noir. This varietal has become a very popular choice for wine drinkers in recent years.
This wine in particular is from the territory of Valdadige, in the province of Verona, in the Veneto region — named after the Adige river. It is ideally-situated, having an advantageous microclimate that shows this grape to its best advantage. History suggests that the first vines were planted in the area by Greeks, dating back to the 6th or 7th century. The cool climate is optimal for making dry, crisp white wines.
Rolando Fugatti and his wife Giuliana founded the estate 50 years ago. They invested, with great commitment, their passion for the terroir in the land of Valdadige Trentino Veronese. Nowadays their children Roberta, Cristina, and Giuseppe manage the estate.
We're thrilled to be able to share a piece of the Italian wine experience with Roeno's 2019 Pinot Grigio. Best served chilled at 6 C, from now until 2022.
