Luca Bosio vineyards was established in the heart of Piedmont by Egidio and Angela Bosio, and is now run by second-generation Valter and Rosella along with their son Luca, after whom the winery is named. With vineyard holdings scattered among the villages of San Stefano Belbo, Castiglione Tinella, Mango, Costigliole d'Asti, and Castagnole Lanze, Luca Bosio produces outstanding Barolo, Barbaresco, and Nebbiolo d'Alba, along with a full range of the region's other signature reds and whites. Their Barolo vineyards are located in Verduno, at the northern edge of the appelation. Rather than expressing the particular characteristics of single vineyards, Luca seeks to capture an overarching style from a blend of their vineyards.
After careful harvesting by hand, grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel before being aged for 3 years in French oak barrels. The final wine is a harmonious example of Barolo that can be enjoyed over the next 5-7 years. Decant before serving at about 18 C.
