Smooth and soft body with balanced acidity that does not distract from the subtlety of the stone fruit. Apricot and nectarines are complimented with hibiscus, elderflower and a finish of wet stone and more rhubarb.
Perfect on its own, or paired with a tapas night of light bites with mild flavours and seasoning.

Bobal is most commonly found in south-east Spain and is planted densely in the D.O. Utiel-Requena, in Valencia. 80% of the region grows Bobal, with the remaining vineyards planted mostly to Tempranillo. In Utiel-Requena, Bobal is commonly made into rosé, as the grape offers great colour, fresh acidity and pronounced fresh fruit. The characteristics of the wine perfectly compliment the flavours of Mediteranean cuisine which is dominant in seafood. The varietal is rather unknown, as the majority of the production remains in local markets, and it is rarely exported.
Red wine produced from Bobal is dark coloured and high in tannins and acidity, commonly blended with Tempranillo, Monastrell or Greco Nero. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Pasión de Bobal Rosé is an extremely light, dry and aromatic wine that trends more to white wine characteristics than red. Serve chilled to 10-12C within the next year.
