Reminiscent of sitting at a restaurant looking over a beautiful harbour at sunrise, you get pleasant earthy and salty aroma's of fresh morning sea air followed by ripe red berries and a brush of sage and rose petal.
Full-bodied and structured with lots of baking spice, mulling spice and fresh herbs followed by cranberry, raspberry, blackberry and black cherry. The finish is long with a nice savoury, earthy forest floor and a mushroom component with just a hint of bergamot.
This wine is BBQ-friendly. Pair with kleftiko (lamb shoulder roast), dolmadakia (stuffed grape leaves), giouvetsi (Greek beef stew with orzo pasta), mushroom risotto, osso buco, and dry-aged ribeye steak.
Sweet and tart, just like the cranberry sauce at your family's Thanksgiving table.
Tangy or sweet, juicy or tart: more sophisticated than a strawberry, but just as lush.
A warm cup of Earl grey tea - with floral scents and slightly earthy notes.
Your windowsill herb garden gives off a lovely herbal smell every time you walk by.
When was the last time you raked up all the leaves in your yard and jumped in the pile?

After owning and managing a part of Boutari wine estate in Greece for 30 years, Yiannis Boutaris decided to start his own wine adventure and founded Kir-Yianni wine estate in 1997. Yiannis Boutaris has also played an important role in Greece's wildlife conservation efforts and in politics as he has been the mayor of Thessaloniki, Greece’s second largest city, for almost 12 years. Boutaris’ focus is on serving the people and nature that surround him. Since 2004, the Paranga Estate has been focused on creating blends of traditional Greek grapes with international varieties to put Greek wines on the map in international markets. In 2009, after acquiring another 10 hectares of land the Paranga Estate became one of the largest vineyard sites in Greece. This wine is named Paranga after a traditional game in Greece similar to croquet that is meant to gather friends and family. Made in a beautiful blend of 50% Merlot, 25% Xinomavro & 25% Syrah. Taking the same three grapes that produce some of the world's best wines and combining them into an age-worthy red. Enjoy now or in 5 years from now at a temperature of 18 ºC.
