Taste
Full-bodied and silky smooth on the palate, with soft, integrated tannins and balanced acidity. It's youthful and fruity, with flavours of red plum, black cherry, and tart cranberry giving way to a warming, spicy finish.

Description
Penedès, in north-east Spain, is known primarily for making one of the country's most popular wine exports: traditional-method sparkling wines called Cava. Dig a little deeper, though, and you'll discover that most of the region's top wineries also produce exceptional still wine. Such is the case with Celler Jan Vidal, a small producer located in the heart of the region. Their Honor Vi Negre is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, two French varieties that have a long and well-established history in this part of Spain. The warm, dry Mediterranean climate allows for optimal ripening of grapes, and the classic blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon creates a finished wine with great structure and depth. Enjoy over the next 3-5 years at about 18 C.
