Ben Jeanneret, a self-taught winemaker, started his winery in 1994 with a motivation for creating wines that are an expression of his beautiful Australian homeland. Ben's passion for creating great wines has been recognized in the winemaking community: he was named one of the Dark Horses of 2015 by wine critic James Halliday and is regarded as one of the best winemakers in the Clare Valley. The golden shell and bright colours on the labels are a piece of graphic art done by one of Ben's relatives. It exemplifies the creativity in his family heritage that he adopted for the labels. The winery uses organic farming processes in the vineyard to create more natural wines that are a true expression of the grape variety. Ben's motto is “Naturally perfect," which fits the style he aims to achieve. The winery also shares its doors with Clare Valley Brewing if you are ever in the area for a visit.
