Beautifully complex aromatics with a lovely perfume of spearmint, eucalyptus and sage that dance on the nose with fragrant dark fruit and cigar box aromas. Whether the day is cold or hot, this wine is perfect for any occasion.
Taste
Full-bodied and fruit-forward, this wine is bursting with ripe fruit notes of plum, acai berry, blackberry jam, bramble and blueberry that lead into more complex flavours of olive, black cardamom, green peppercorn and black licorice with traces of sweet tobacco, vanilla bean and espresso on the finish.
Pairing
This jammy, full-bodied red goes great with BBQ ribs or pulled pork served with spicy southwestern potato salad and grilled corn.

Description
Ben Jeanneret, a self-taught winemaker, started his winery in 1994 with a motivation for creating wines that are an expression of his beautiful Australian homeland. Ben's passion for creating great wines has been recognized in the winemaking community: he was named one of the Dark Horses of 2015 by wine critic James Halliday and is regarded as one of the best winemakers in the Clare Valley. The golden shell and bright colours on the labels are a piece of graphic art done by one of Ben's relatives. It exemplifies the creativity in his family heritage that he adopted for the labels. The winery uses organic farming processes in the vineyard to create more natural wines that are a true expression of the grape variety. Ben's motto is “Naturally perfect," which fits the style he aims to achieve. The winery also shares its doors with Clare Valley Brewing if you are ever in the area for a visit.
