Classic merlot aromatics of red and black plum, cherry, and black raspberry emerge from the glass, and as the wine opens up, they're joined by hints of dried herbs, black tea, and vanilla.
Soft and round on the palate, with elegant, well-developed tannins and a beautiful, mouth-watering freshness. Flavours of ripe raspberries and black plum carry through on the long, refined finish.
Ripe and approachable, this Merlot would be a great choice for easy weeknight meals like spaghetti bolognese or vegetarian chili.
Sweet, fruity and sensual, similar stone fruit aromas to a peach, but without the 'fuzziness.'
Fresh B.C. cherries out of the back of a truck, all eaten before you can get them home!
Tangy or sweet, juicy or tart: more sophisticated than a strawberry, but just as lush.
Your windowsill herb garden gives off a lovely herbal smell every time you walk by.
A sweet spice aroma that indicates oak-ageing - think vanilla bean frappuccino!

Argentina's reputation in the world of wine will always be deeply tied to Malbec, but we've been increasingly impressed by other, less-heralded reds that the country's dynamic wineries have been producing. A great example is this Reserve Merlot from Bodega Salentein, a winery located in the Uco Valley, in the heart of Mendoza. The winery's goal from the outset was to produce premium wines, with an emphasis on careful fruit handling from vineyard to finished wine. High-altitude vineyards permit slow ripening of the grapes, allowing for full fruit development while retaining balanced acidity. This plush, elegant Merlot should be enjoyed over the next 5 years at about 18 C.
