Generous aromas of tart cherry, fresh raspberry, and boysenberry tea burst from the glass, along with secondary hints of woodsmoke, dried herbs, and cedar. The oak is nicely integrated, with a subtle vanilla note.
Fresh and energetic on the palate, this medium-bodied pinot noir showcases smooth, balanced tannins and a fresh pop of acidity. Pinot's distinct earthiness lingers behind flavours of cherry jam and raspberry. The finish is long and dry with echoes of smoke, dried herbs, and spice.
Duck confit served with a cherry gastrique would be the perfect match for the bright red-berry flavours of this wine, but it would pair equally well with roast chicken or lamb.
Fresh B.C. cherries out of the back of a truck, all eaten before you can get them home!
Tangy or sweet, juicy or tart: more sophisticated than a strawberry, but just as lush.
Juicy dark berries picked straight from the bush, with a subtle hint of leaf and earthiness.
When was the last time you raked up all the leaves in your yard and jumped in the pile?
An intriguing mix of clove, sandalwood and resin - the smell of your favourite wooded trail.

Oregon has now firmly established itself in the world of wine as one of the top regions to make high-quality Pinot Noir. The Willamette Valley especially has the right combination of soils and climate that make Pinot Noir, notoriously finicky thought it is, right at home. So popular is the grape in this part of Oregon that it accounts for 70% of total plantings! Soléna Estate is located in the heart of this beautiful valley, and the small, family-owned winery has been making outstanding Pinot Noir since they launched in 2000. Owners Laurent and Danielle Andrus Montalieu gifted the property to one another as a wedding present, and named it after their daughter.
Their Grande Cuvee Pinot Noir is a blend of fruit from their Yamhill-Carlton and McMinnville AVA estate vineyards, along with grapes sourced from other iconic single-vineyard sources throughout the valley. It's a fantastic introduction to both Oregon Pinot Noir in general and Soléna Estate specifically. Enjoy over the next 5-8 years at a cool 16 C.
