Château des Tourtes

Description

Lise and Philippe Raguenot started their winery back in 1967. Inspired by the unique geology of their vineyard site, they decided to plant only grape varieties that were best suited to the soil composition. They started with only 15 hectares of land, which has now grown to 70 hectares planted to various grape varieties, but still kept their vision to make wines expressive of the land they are grown on. Now run by daughters Emmanuelle and Marie-Pierre, who took over the operation in 1997, the winery has since gained international recognition, earning over 100 awards. They are committed to biodiverse farming methods and creating wines free from added sulphites and additional refining methods. The winery achieved the High Environmental Value (HVE) certification in 2012 and continues its commitment to protecting the vineyard’s natural surroundings.
