Profile

Description

New Vintage! This wine was previously featured in the store, but is back by popular demand! Starting in 1950, Paul Fournier started with 2 hectares of vineyards and a desire to make his own wine. It took 9 years, but his dream was realized! By 1990, with the help of his two sons, Claude and Jacques, the Domaine Fournier Père et Fils extended to 60 hectares located in revered areas of Sancerre, Pouilly-Fume and Menetou-Salon. Today, the winery is run by the Villebois family and their team, who arrived on the scene in 2015 and purchased the estate. Domaine Fournier wines have since received international acclaim. There is an emphasis on creating quality wines with care and patience. Respecting the land through responsible farming practices, utilizing small yields and allowing gravity to slowly release the grapes' juice to provide an exceptional product. The Fournier wines can be found in some of the most prestigious places in Paris, New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. Serve at 8-10 degrees Celsius. Drink now or up to 2 years.

Pairing

The classic pairing for Sauvignon Blanc so close to the Sancerre region - goat cheese! Although, we'd be happy to enjoy this wine on its own as well.

As refreshing as aromas come, the smell of grapefruit is purely invigorating.
