Profile

Description

Inspired by their love for surfing the California coast, a friendship started over a few good glasses of wine between Bill Price III and Prema Behanowners. They decided to start a winery together that encompassed their love of nature. The winery focusses on the elements of water, soil and sunlight using organic farming practices to be one of the most environmentally-conscientious brands in the world. The winery was named Head High, the term California surfers use to describe a big wave, the one every surfer hopes to challenge and surf through to the end. This is synchronous with what they strive to obtain in their winemaking journey. The wave they describe as Head High is perfectly emulated on their website with a picture of one of their favourite surf legends and brand ambassadors, fifteen-time World Surf Champion Zane Kekoa Schweitzer. Hold your glass Head High and cheers to this delicious Pinot Noir, best served at 16°C. Enjoy it now or over the next 5-8 years.

Pairing

Serve with blistered cherry tomato bruschetta, baked brie with cranberry compote, or a porchetta sandwich on a fresh, crusty roll.

Aromas and Flavours

Cranberry

Sweet and tart, just like the cranberry sauce at your family's Thanksgiving table.

Strawberry

A sweet, almost caramel-like aroma reminiscent of your favourite juicy, red berry.

Cherry

Fresh B.C. cherries out of the back of a truck, all eaten before you can get them home!

Violet

A soft, powdery, woody floral aroma popular in women's perfume - so romantic!

Cinnamon

The scent of freshly baked cinnamon rolls, straight out of the oven - ooey gooey goodness!
