Named after the mythical creature that graces owner Rollo Gabb's family crest, only seven barrels were made of this dense, silky-smooth, Syrah from one of Stellenbosch's top estates.
Pairing
Partial carbonic maceration adds lift to this powerful red, making it a perfect match for grilled lamb or seared steak with a pan jus.
Aromas and Flavours
Strawberry
A sweet, almost caramel-like aroma reminiscent of your favourite juicy, red berry.
Plum
Sweet, fruity and sensual, similar stone fruit aromas to a peach, but without the 'fuzziness'.
Black currant
Sometimes also referred to as 'cassis', this black fruit tasting note is common in red wines.
Herbs
