Profile

Description

Manoir du Carra has been the the Sambardier family for five generations, and their La Cuvée des P'tits Jean is named after the old family tradition of naming the first-born son of each successive generation Jean. Patriarch Jean-Marie Sambardier joined the then-hundred-year-old winery in 1918, and his son Jean purchased the estate outright in 1962. Since then, operations have passed down a further three generations, with each son carrying on his father's work and further refining their understanding of their soil, grapes, and wine. With 34 hectares under vine throughout Beaujolais, the family has a wealth of sites to draw from to create their blends. La Cuvée des P'tits Jean is 100% Chardonnay, and is vinified and aged without the use of oak. Enjoy this refreshing and balanced expression of the world's most popular white grape at a cool 12 C over the next two years.
