Description
Spanning three generations of winemakers in what is considered the "new" part of Veneto, Lison-Pramaggiore and 33 hectares. The Bellia family began their story in 1951 when Aurelio Bellia began with just 18 hectares of vineyard land as a tenant farmer and his son, Giovanni took over. For over half a century the family has pursued a single dream: that is to advance while staying faithful to tradition. Here in this part of Italy, the climate is mild and is influenced by the nearby Adriatic and mountains. There are two special winds that have a positive effect on the vines: the Bora, which comes down from the north-east and blows dry, and the warm, damp Sirocco which comes from the south-east throughout the year. These winds rise mainly in the evening, lowering the nocturnal temperature which favours the diurnal temperature range. This leads to perfect aromatic maturation. The fruit was harvested in early September and soft pressed right after harvest. The juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 25 days and rested on its lees to increase texture and viscosity. Fragrant and bright straw in colour with lingering notes of white flowers, stone fruits, especially pear, golden apples, with refined citrus notes.
