This family-owned Marlborough winery produces delicious examples of New Zealand’s signature white grape: Sauvignon Blanc. Marlborough’s southern latitude means extended sunlight hours during the growing season. This enables grapes to ripen fully, while maintaining their vibrancy and crispness due to the sea breezes and cooling nights. Fermenting in temperature-controlled, stainless steel tanks is common to preserve these aromatics. The winery is owned by a couple who started with 3 hectares in Canterbury, elsewhere on New Zealand’s South Island. They quickly became successful and moved their winemaking to Blenheim, the heart of quality wine in Marlborough. They also own vineyards in this area now, supplying them with fantastic Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris. This Sauvignon Blanc is full of fresh, zesty citrus flavours, a great summer refresher to sip on the patio or to serve with the lighter dishes we crave during the warmer months. Serve at 10 ºC, and enjoy between now and 2023.

Pan-seared chicken in a lemon and dill sauce served over steamed spring asparagus would be a great match for this crisp white.
